I'll post more after I've had some replies, as as my previous Blitzball Question topic in the FFX thread.
This thread MIGHT contain a few spoilers, so I'm warning you now, if you've not beaten all of the games, or care to find things out for yourself, then do NOT read the quetions below. Thank you!
I)After the final battle with Vergil on DMC3, how does Dante recieve the Force Edge sword? Didn't Vergil have it? Ho does he start with in in DMC?
II)When Vergil challenges the prince of darkness at the end of DMC3, does he...fuse with his energy to become Nelo Angelo, or how exactly is that...process made?

I've created this topic being fully aware that DMC3 is a prequel, believe me.

Wasn't the Force Edge your initial weapon in DMC3? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was, or else it didn't have a name.

I thought Nelo Angelo was just Virgil's Devil Trigger embodiment. And since he died at the end of DMC3, maybe Nelo Angelo is his reincarnation.

Dante looks a lot younger in DMC3 than in DMC, so maybe after the end of 3, he went and got the Force Edge from Vergil, the same time Vergil turn into Nelo Angelo.

To freshen your memory, Force Edge is the....un-demonic/fake version of the Sparda sword. Arkham reaches the sword in thirst of Sparda's power, at the beginning of Mission...18, I believe in DMC3.
This makes no sense to me whatsoever!
About Virgil, Nelo Angelo is definately not his devil trigger state, because if you'll remember fighting Vergil the second and third time in DMC3, his devil trigger wears off after a while, much like Dante's. It COULD be a re-embodyment of Virgil, but he never actually...died that we know of.
Anarchy24-Dante couldn't go back to get the sword from Virgil though. Virgil clearly said "The door to the human world is closing. Hurry, you don't have much time!" upon his defeat...and mind you, he was surprised to recognise Nelo Angelo in DMC.

I think you have to awaken the Force Edge first, before it turns into that final form in DMC..

At the end of Devil May Cry 3, those three red lights in the sky are Mundus!!
He's apparently the "prince of darkness" Vergil was talking about confronting.
And I realized this after the last battle with Griffon in DMC.
Mundus appears as those three red lights in the sky surrounded by lightning, and Dante tells Trish; "Mundus took the life of my brother".
So apparently, Vergil was possibly killed by Mundus and transformed into Nelo Angelo...because he's not even half human anymore!
Did any of you notice how he can't speak in DMC? He can't...because he's too far gone.
Anarchy24-Apparently, to awaken the Sparda from Force Edge, you need the perfect Amulet...which are made up of the gold, and silver amulets that Dante and Virgil recieved once as a whole from their mother.
I still don't...understand how Dante did get the Force Edge...but maybe after Mundus turned Virgil into Nelo Angelo, Nelo Angelo did leave the sword behind, as Mundus gave him a huge blade, so Dante might have taken it...
I have some more questions though;
III-I)What is the time difference between when DMC3 and DMC take place?
III-II)What is the time difference between when DMC and DMC2 take place?
IV)What exactly IS Nightmare? I understand he's a biological weapon that can transform between a liquid and solid, but I mean, is its body some sort of...dimention of lost souls?...because you fight forms of previous bosses inside him.
V)What exactly is Lucia's DT state supposed to be in DMC2? She LOOKS like some sort of angel, but then that doesn't mean she is one, because Beowulf was a demon of holy entity, so I'm just wondering...

He was enginerred with the DNA of all the bosses, so he has their powers and such, and merely creats a portion of his internal body into the shape of a certain boss. Why I dont know. Also, I am probably wrong.

Panda Nine-That could be it. I'm wondering what the dimention around where you fight the bosses inside it is...but actually what you said makes sense because every time you destroy a boss inside Nightmare, it takes a large portion of helth from it...so it MUST be related to some inner organ somehow.
