My only fear is that this engine may be as buggy as the last one... oh man that would suck... But I would most likely still play it though.

I don't care if the engine is so bad that you can see cats fly through the air, I'm still going to buy this game.

Yeah, games like King's Field and such never go entirely well with critics or fans, with the rare exception. But I remain confident in this game. ^_^

Well, the one good exception would be Deus Ex, which was a critical success.

Gamespot has confirmed, in a video interview with Bethesda Marketing Director Pete Hines, that the Xbox 360 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be launching alongside the system on November 22, 2005. Although a release date for the PC version has not been confirmed, expect it around, if not on, the same date.

Oblivion is going to be a launch title. So you know that's going to boost the sales a bit at launch, even though I'm not much of a fan of Morrowind this one looks good. :[

I'll probably end up pawning every game/console I have to a videogame shop, just to get enough to buy the 300 dollar 360 package and Oblivion... so lets see... about 350+tax... damn I'm a broke-ass...

I'm going to have to cough up about $550 on launch day so your lucky.

BTW, I pre-ordered Oblivion, that's awesome it's going to be there on launch. In my opinion, Microsoft has a very smart launch plan, they have I think one of each genre launching do they not? Very nice.

ME WILL DO ANYTHING FOR $500...well not that man I don't want the system enough for that. Let me revise that I WILL DO ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE ME TO DO ANYTHING SEXUAL OR EAT ANY ODD ITEMS FOR $500.

Bethesda Softworks has announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's soundtrack will be composed by none other than Jeremy Soule, known for his work on games like Icewind Dale, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Bethesda's previous Elder Scrolls title, Morrowind.

"I've been working with Jeremy for a long time," said Todd Howard, executive producer for Oblivion, "And this is by far his best work. The game is an epic-fantasy-drama, and the score adds greatly to its dramatic appeal... What he has brought to Oblivion is extraordinary. I can't wait for everyone to hear it."

"It has been a thrill to score the music for the next installment in The Elder Scrolls series," said Soule. "The stunning, epic quality of The Elder Scrolls series is particularly compatible with the grand, orchestral style of music I enjoy composing the most. It has been a pleasure to be involved with such a revolutionary series that is poised to redefine the RPG genre once again."

Oblivion is slated to release at the end of this year for the Xbox 360 and for Windows-based PCs. It recieved RPGFan's "Best Overall RPG of E3 2005" award earlier this year. Check out the official Elder Scrolls site below.

Well now I know Oblivion is going to have an amazing soundtrack. This guy also did the soundtrack for Neverwinter Nights. I may give Elder Scrolls another try if I get a 360.
