What a dumb move. DQ8 sold so well on the console, why take a console adventure and make it soley for handheld? I'm still going to buy it but it's not a very smart move on their part.

It's a great move on their part actually. The DS sells so well in Japan and the same goes for the Dragon Quest games so they basically created an instant win partnership.

Yeah, the PS3 is still way too expensive for most consumers, and their launch was smothered by the Wii. Want to make sure DQ9 gets to the people? Go with the Wii. Wanna make sure that every person-remotely interested in the series gets one? Go with the DS.

I never played the series, so, yeah.

there are four people in japan who dont have a ds lite. This was a good decision, and I think the game has just as much potential on a handheld. but please for the love of god no stylus controls
