ok, there are a few things I'm still wondering about...

1 - Zack and Cloud are about 20 years old and when we see Yuffie and Tifa they look like their about 13 or 14 years old and then, in the original, they get older but Cloud is still the same age. I know that it's because they were frozen 4 years but why is Aerith still the same age as well? Is it an Ancient thing?

2 - At the end, two people come and get Genesis...it was the Turk theme music with a Turk helicopter but they seemed to be wearing SOLDIER uniforms...who were they? I know he doesn't die since we see Genesis at the end of Dirge of Cerberus but...what happened??? They mentioned about being their 'new' brother or something...and then at the end of that scene, the LOVELESS act gets an ending...but I'm not sure I understood...

3 - When Cisseni says that it's not her real name and then tells Tseng as well that she didn't tell him her real name...what was that all about?!

4 - When they get taken in by Hojo, you see him looking at Cloud and saying that he'll be the perfect test subject...is that when Cloud becomes a 'clone' of Sephiroth by having 'S' cells inside him and that's when we find out Hojo went back so that's what he meant by a failed experiment in the original?...Zack had 'S' cells as well from what Genesis says when he goes for the final battle...

5 - So when Zack dies and Cloud is walking away, is this basically when FFVII starts off? Cause then we see that 'secret ending' and Cloud says that he's a SOLDIER first class...but is that when Tifa finds him at the train station all weird like? Cause I thought that's how it had happened...Tifa had found him at the train station all dazed from just coming back from Zack's death...but when Cloud leaves Zack, he's back to normal...???

6 - Yuffie never mentions Zack...is it because she's a side character so they didn't want to put anything in that would be 'important' in the game for people that didn't get the side characters?...oh, and speaking of side characters...I don't know about Zack but when I would have opened a coffin that had a person sleeping in it, I wouldn't have just closed it!!! lol, I wanted to see Vincent!!! lol

7 - Zack says to say hi to Aerith from him but Cloud never does...is it because he still a bit 'dazed and confused'? lol

8 - The Goddess Genesis sees at the very end...who was she?

9 - When Zack passes around dumbapples to everyone, Genesis says "Angeal---The dream has been fulfilled." What did he mean by that?


I loved the game, it made me cry at the end...I found it so sad :vsad:

1- in crisis core Zack was 18 and cloud was 16,aeris probably 17,yuffie is probably 11 and tifa 15...and then 4 years passed since the nebelheim incident...and one year before the beginning of ff vii making Zack 22 years old,cloud 20,aeris 21 and tiffa 19...aeris looks different though with pink dress that she was wearing in ff vii, Zack told her to always wear pink though so i guess she was older and wasnt looking exactly like in crisis core.
2- i think the two soldiers were Nero and Weiss.
3- i think she changed her name when she left the orphanage where she spent her childhood before shinra took her in im not sure
4- exactly cloud was the only one whose boddy matched with the "S" cells but hojo thought he was a failed experiment but the reason was because the "S" cells effected him the most.
5- Zack's death was a one year before the beginning of ff vii and i think tifa found cloud at the train station while he was forgetting his real past and what really happened to him because of the "S" cells.
6- i think its because she was young and probably never knew that guy was actually Zack.
7- cloud didnt remember Zack at all at the time aeris was alive so i guess that's the reason
8- yeh i dunno what was that its either a secret related to the
loveless acts or that genesis was imagining her >.>
9- i guess he was talking about loveless everytime he talked about it i get confused

lol, right!!! How could I have not remembered them! I had liked Nero a lot and Weiss I thought was cool but I guess their names just didn't stick in my head So it might have been those two but the fact that they were in a Shinra helicopter and they were wearing SOLDIER uniforms is kind of weird though...

and I didn't find anything in that article about why is it that both Zack and Cloud fell in the church where Aerith was...that is really a weird coincidence or something... :dry:

The whole point of this thread is spoilers. The tags annoy me.


Since I'm superior to all of you--I shall give this a shot myself! Away!

1. Crisis Core begins 7 years before Final Fantasy VII. Two years pass between the opening FMV and the Nibelheim Incident. Zack + Cloud = Asleep for 5 years until they wake up, and at the point, the game quickly comes to a close. So whatever the ages of the characters were in FFVII, do the math from there and you should get an approximate number.

2. Only if you played DoC, and recently at that, would it be reasonable to know who these smucks were, and I didn't, but it is Weiss and Nero. They're in SOLDIER uniforms because at that point, they are normal SOLDIERs., since Deepground didn't take off until they started using Genesis' cells on other SOLDIERs and the like.

3. Cissnei is secretive...?

4. My understanding was the experiments only take hold on a certain few. For instance, the Jenova Project G used Genes rather than Cells, and produced a failure in Genesis because of his deterioration. Hojo used S Cells on his subjects, which is why Sephiroth controlled the clones (a very loose use of the word) towards the Reunion in VII and AC. Sephiroth was the ultimate success: a super SOLDIER with no equal.

5. The secret ending is a remake of the opening for FFVII. That takes place a few weeks, I think, after Zack dies. Cloud heads off the Midgar where he is found by Tifa, and after he recovers, suffers from amnesia.

6. Realistically, none of the interactions of CC had even been thought of back in 1997, so of course Yuffie never mentioned him in the original. Besides, who gives two shits what Yuffie thinks?

7. The Mako poisoning Cloud suffers from kinda helps him rebuild his memories; so he replaces Zack with himself in his own mind. Again, amnesia.

8. Minerva, the Goddess of the Planet. I think she's more of a guardian of the Lifestream than anything else, but he role is still vague.

9. I think its a reference to earlier in the game when Zack and Angeal talk about what Angels and Monsters dream about. There's also a sequence earlier when Zack asks them what happened to their dreams for honor and stuff.

About Zack/Cloud and the Church...they both fell from roughly the same area above the church. Just coincidence/fate, I suppose.

so Minerva is supposed to be her name...they didnt make her role clear in the game genesis kept talking about the goddess and that didnt make sense at all to me until now,maybe she has an important role in the future if sqex was planning to release a new sequel or something,now that would be interesting

Minerva is briefly mentioned in the original FFVII, as well. In the Ancient Forest, the area which is opened above Cosmo Canyon after defeating Ultima Weapon, you can obtain a bangle bearing her name, which can only be worn female party members, and the description of which mentions a Goddess.

I could pop in the original to get the correct terms and all that, but i'm too lazy. Ask that Ido guy, he knows a little about FFVII I think.

has anyone beaten Minerva yet in FFVII:CC? I couldnt unlock her mission in the JPver and im not that far in the USver yet. Heard its super challenging though, and rly looking forward to it

Okay, Crisis Core has 300 missions just like Tactics Advanced. Are there any items or missions I can miss if Im not careful. Because I really want to fight Minerva.

I think its pretty easy to get all missions ... it seems like you get them automatically when you complete a mission or progress with the main story. You could also talk to all NPC's you see just to make sure you dont miss any "optional" missions

I think I know why Platinum is concerned, I played that game too and got 299 missions and forgot that I threw out one rusty sword, I was pissed.

so that must have been minerva that genesis saw at the end? kinda odd that there is minerva and jenova, there must be a connection somehow. jenova must be what genesis is talking about when he says "goddess's gift, falls from the sky" so jenova is minerva's gift?

the secret ending at the end is basically the beginning of FFVII but extended...but I did about 100 missions (and that's even pushing it a bit saying I did that much) and I got the secret ending...so is there really a 'secret ending' or is it more like everyone gets it if they finish the game and wait for after the credits...?

its not a 'secret' ending i don't think, its just an extra video after the credits. i'm pretty sure everyone can get it no matter what.

by the way, is it just me or did they COMPLETELY fuck up the dialog for the scene between zack and sephiroth in the mt. nibel reactor when sephiroth rips the machine off and sees jenova? because i think it was really really messed up for me.. their subtitles weren't appearing at the bottom, and some parts it would, but it would say something they weren't saying and show up for only like half a second. that kinda pissed me off. maybe my game just messed up? or is anyone else having this issue?
