Hi Guys

I'm new here, but I thought if anone knew it would be one of you bright sparks. I used to know back in 1998... but kind of forgotten now, bit of a blonde moment. Does anyone know the combination of materia required so that when I strike with a weapon, the mob freezes on impact... kind of a freeze/stop effect... please help this lost girl... i'd be super grateful

You can use the 'added effect' materia and some other materia (like time) in a connected slot.

Thanks Kweh you are quick to help, cute name BTW :P . Umm, I have tried many combinations with added effect, but none work the same as this cool old one I used to use. Time for example just slows the mob. There is one which makes them freeze (iceblock) and then you can punch them to death ;) Thanks a bunch anyways, you so nice to answer me!

Maybe you want the 'elemental' materia equipped with 'ice' or something. I don't know if that will actually 'freeze' any enemies though.

Yeah I tried that combo but it didn't work. QQ This was a specific move and it was very cool, it had an upper level limit (wouldn't work on bosses) but great for trash. Thankyou so much for taking an interest though, you are very nice to me. Muchly appreciated. :D

There is a materia called Contain, which has the Freeze spell in it, which you get from feeding the white chocobo in Mideel a certain type of greens, I forget which type. Might do the trick paired with Added Effect, but it may also petrify them instead because Break is in there too.

The Time materia does have a stop ability when the AP level is maxed out.
Working on: Mako Framework, GmailChecker & SQIN6. Posted Image

You want to use the Added Effect Materia paired with either Time or Choco/Mog.
