Hi,

I'm working on a Final Fantasy VII SpeedRun. Not an ordinary SpeedRun!
I use an emulator with frame advance, load, and save, so I can pull off techniques which are difficult or require extreme luck for human players. No cheats are used, of course.

I'm currently faster than GarlandG's 'near-perfect' run.

Here's my current video:

Midgar and Guard Scorpion

Nicely done. Though I don't like the idea of using emulators as using save states detracts from the challenge of using traditional (time-consuming) save methods.
To far away times❧

so, you're saying you're attempting to spend as little time as possible playing FFVII?
Et il est un jour arrivé
Marteler le ciel
Et marteler la mer

Et la mer avait embrassé moi

I tend to take forever and spend too much time on FF games. Do I get a prize for this? I should have my own youtube videos.

Why name Cloud "C", etc? Does this really cut down on time? x.x And you totally missed that one chest..

There's a fine balance that needs to be struck in JRPGs. You don't want to race through it so that you miss great sidequests or end up feeling that you didn't quite 'beat' the game. But at the same time you don't want to spend so much time chasing down secret bosses and whatnot that you get sick of the game.
