So as you all may have noticed (What's that? You haven't!?) I haven't been on for a bit. My motherboard died on me while I was in the process of upgrading my PC to a more game suitable one. Long story short, I've decided to take my new parts, order some more and build my own. This will be the first time for me. Here's a list of components, let me know if I'm missing something.

Processor
Motherboard
AWESOME CASE! It has plenty of fans already.
1 gig video card
2 gig DDR2 ram + the 1 gig from my other HP pc.
500 watt Power Supply
500 gig hardrive+ wire attachment obv
Dvd drive - I will strip from my HP pc.

Let me know if you see any components that may not work with each other. Let me know if I'm missing a component. Let me know if you want to comment on my awesome case. Go! Go! Go!

Your motherboard and processor expressly support DDR3 memory, ergo, you need to buy DDR3 memory.

Be aware that the new motherboard only has SATA connectors and not PATA/EIDE. You may not be able to cannibalize some or all components from a previous pc for this.

The power supply should be okay.

One last caveat is the case size. It is a mid-size tower which is perfectly fine for most people, but there are video cards out there that can't be installed in mid towers without very ugly solutions because they're too long.

Ido: Yeah. I was very disappointed when I realized DDR2 is not compatible with DDR3 slots. Ordered a 2 gigger for now. Will order another one once my bank looks better. x.x

Rintin: Of course! I have my hello kitty keyboard and mouse ready! xD

The last of the components should be here tomorrow, so hopefully then or the day after it'll be up and running..hopefully. >.<

Build this awesome pc for so much cheaper than it would cost to buy one from the store. Something I always wanted to do. Iso is a happy man. :D
