Millennium Gaming What makes us mix up game genres now compared to the '90s?

My question to all of you, is what is it about gaming today that makes it so much easier to have a wide variety of game choices?

Years ago, everyone had "their type" of video games. There were the sports games, then the guys that loved racing games, then rpgs, adventures, action, etc.

What makes it so easy for guys like myself to enjoy games from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts to Need For Speed , UFC and NHL? How about Call of Duty? A great day of gaming is one where I can play FFXIII then pop in COD: MW2 then finish up with a couple games of NHL.

What about you folks? Does anyone face the crafty and expensive condition of Multi-Genre Gamer ADD? If so, what's your mix?

My tastes haven't changed much since the 90s. The only new thing is indie games because I've got the internet now.

It's funny you would say that, I look at what the fad is these days and it is to bring back the classics on the newer systems without changing anything about them. It's pretty amazing to think people are still playing games that are well over 10 years old.

I've always been into what I'm into as far as games go. Recent gaming for me has been nothing but an opportunity to further explore the themes I already have liked forever.

Yeah my tastes haven't changed much either, I enjoy the familiar but I'm more than happy to try new genres and so forth... except sport games lol.

Always loved Adventure games with great stories and anything with guns gets my thumbs up :D
