Ok, I just bought DMC 2 and beat it Though it's short, and it only has 18 missions for each character, since they're two CD's, it's a load of fun. I still need to begin CD 2 though Dante comes back once more to kick butt and kill monsters! Well, I'm enjoying this game, now, if you'll all excuse me. I must begin CD 2. |-Waves and runs off, leaving a white feather behind.-|

Obviously, I didn't see the other topic about DMC 2 Sorry, anyway...

I loved Devil May cry 2. It was a really fun game. I don't see why anybody hated it, yes it was short. But I couldn't really care if a game is short, it it's fun I'm happy. Devil May Cry 2 kicked alot of ass, the missions were really fun and Dante's swords kicked ass in this one. I loved this game.

you wanna know why everyone hates it so.....its short and so incredibly easy...DMC was much much more difficult thatn DMC2 DMC2 was just horrible....

Lol noooo! You guys should love it. Quick action means tons of fun. I loved just sitting there hacking and slashing the shit out of random guys lol. And it was awesome how you could jump upside down and shoot at the same time.

now i know why it sucked, Capcom, genuises that they are, let a new team develop DMC 2 while the original team was split apart to work on various projects. they did the same thing with onimusha 2, which explains why it didn't live up to the original.

there is hope though, the entire original team for onimusha is working on onimusha 3. let's hop DMC gets a third installment from the original team.

* Inhales Sharpley* *Adopts least offensive tone* I really I'm going to have to disagree with you on quite a few points there, although there was a modicum of pleasure to be gained from the game it was on the whole a great dissapointment.

It was quite short, but short games can be of high quality (See MGS 1&2), but it was easily completable in there was no desire to play the game again once it was completed with both characters which made it appear even shorter.

The opinion that I most strongly dissagree with is the one about the sword, bloody hell ! ( Attempt to remain in least offensive tone) The swords really were pathetic and the leveling-up system was badly thought-out and unspectacular, it worked in theory but why change for a new sword when you've been powering this one up for four "Missions" ?

Even worse was the swords themselves, "this is an average standard sword" - who the hell wants an average standard sword ? When I play games I expect to play with the sword of power or some such thing. Why switch a average sword for a large sword that has a small range ? Or a laughably weak sword that looks like a iron ralling and has a large range ?

Whilst DMC1 had an electric sword that had a distincive personally of itsown, a pair of flaming gaunlets (fair enough I though they were pretty arse but they were distinctive), and finally an normal sword that turns into a ledgendary sword that has a cool long range attack ? In DMC2 an Average, Fat & slow, Weak & good range. Yeah thats some compittion

I've gone off on one but it really angers me when I think of how good it could of been *Sigh*

Devil May Cry 2's quite an awesome game,I thought. It's basically the opposite of DMC1,in many ways. Not the best game,but definately great,DMC2....
