Last week we reported that Square Enix had registered the trademark "Crystal Guardians". This week they announced that the name will be used for a tower defense style game for cellphones. The goal of the game will be to defend a crystal from monsters (hence the name Crystal Guardians). The game will feature the different races seen in the hugely popular Final Fantasy Tactics A2. The game will be divided up in 28 episodes and the first will release on January the 28th 2008. Check out the official site here.  Tags: Crystal Guardians.

I guess I was wrong :p It wasn't another Crystal Chronicles title.

And I guessed that it was for Wii or the DS. Both of us were wrong then.
